What is "La Grande Virée"?
La Montérégie, le Garde-Manger du Québec, in collaboration with its partners, offers 4 exclusive gourmet events. A unique occasion to live a 100% Monteregian agrotourism and gastronomic experience!
“La Grande Virée” events all include two immersive guided tours, each lasting approximately 1.5 hours, presented by producers and processors from the region who will share their stories and pass on their unique know-how. The “Grande Virée" days will end with a 5-course gourmet dinner cooked in front of your eyes, directly on the farm, by chef Isabel Gariépy from Farm’s Table. You will have the chance to taste the best products and alcohols of the region!
The agrotourism guide from Traktour will accompany you during your visits and will enhance your experience with her knowledge of the Montérégie region. You will experience privileged encounters with local producers! "La Grande Virée" will introduce you to unique processes, allow you to taste refined products and to meet with passionate craftsmen.
Here are the four dates and regions to discover with "La Grande Virée" this fall:
- Saturday, September 24 – Au Coeur de la Montérégie
- Sunday, September 25 – Saint-Hyacinthe and its area
- Saturday, October 1 - Vaudreuil-Soulanges
- Sunday, October 2 – Vallée-du-Richelieu
How to participate?
The ticket for the “La Grande Virée” experience is sold at the price of $170 + taxes and includes two exclusive visits and a 5-course gourmet dinner, including alcohol. Please note that transportation is not included. You will have to travel to different places throughout the day. The “La Grande Virée” events will begin at 1 p.m. and end in the evening.
