Discover a farm that grows its fruits without using chemicals or pesticides, run by a young family passionate about modern techniques and healthy, bio produce. This small orchard is situated in picturesque Hudson, where it grows 12 varieties of apples and supports a growing bee colony that works hard to keep the trees pollinated and fruitful. The apple trees grow in rich clay soil, sheltered by the ideal microclimate provided by Lac des Deux-Montagnes just across the road. Visitors will love trying out rare and unknown types of apples, not your usual Red Delicious and Royal Galas! The delicious honey produced by the farm’s bees is flavoured by the flowers blossoming in and around Hudson, providing a real treat to anyone with a sweet tooth. During the autumn apple season, Le Verger de Hudson organizes many special events and is open for apple-picking; on your way out, stop by the farm shop for gourmet finds and tastings. This year, the orchard has a tin-roofed pavilion for outdoor events, a one-day yoga and apple-picking retreat, and as always, their apples, honey, and other products will be available at events around the region.
