The only home lived in by Quebec poet and artist Félix Leclerc still open to the public, the Maison Félix Leclerc is classified as a historical monument and now houses a permanent exhibition that invites guests to learn all about this star of song, theatre, and poetry. At the same time, discover the wellspring of creativity of the era's artistic community and the works of art Félix created while living on Vaudreuil-Dorion's Chemin de l’Anse. Other than inetractive guided tours, guests can profit all season long from a number of shows and cultural events in a garden that overlooks the magnificent Lake of Two Mountains. The shop is a must-visit as well, full of unique souvenirs and beautiful local artisanal and gourmet products.

Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges 2

Built near 1847, this imposing structure began its life as Collège Saint-Michel, functioning as Vaudreuil Village’s boy’s school. In 1958, it became the home of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional Museum. Through its permanent and temporary ethnologiccal exhibitions, this museums acts as a witness to the evolution of this region’s way of life. The museum houses and protects over 9,000 magnificent objects of Quebec’s material heritage. It is also their mission to showcase the work of local artists in their contemporary gallery, which sees up to six shows a year. Museum staff are courteous and friendly, and are happy to take groups on guided tours of the collection. Themed activities are offered for children during the city’s many cultural events, and adult workshops are planned throughout the year. The museum is especially active with heritage and artistic workshops during the Seigneuriales de Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Église Saint-Michel 3

Built in 1783, Saint-Michel Church is one of three churches in the Saint-Michel Parish. The neo-gothic building is best known for its bell tower, which was reconstructed according to original plans following a fire. Located right in the heart of Old Vaudreuil, Saint-Michel Church is definitely worth the photo op! No matter what the time of year, this church is alive with activity. Full of celebration, this heritage building hosts concerts and other cultural events. In winter, lanterns light up the grounds, recalling days since past.

Maison Trestler 4

A unique heritage property, Trestler House is a window back in time. Built in the late 1700s, the 16-room stone house is a shining example of Québec history, complete with period furniture, artifacts, even its own ghost! The summer season bustles with excitement: group tours, guided visits, exhibitions, and a legendary summer concert series that features talented local and international musicians. The house is available as an enchanting venue for weddings, business meetings, and other events, complete with rentals and catering services. Sheltered in a residential area of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Trestler House is one of the region’s cultural gems, easily accessible by car, train, bicycle, or on foot.
