Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges

Where history and heritage come to play.

Built near 1847, this imposing structure began its life as Collège Saint-Michel, functioning as Vaudreuil Village’s boy’s school. In 1958, it became the home of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional Museum. Through its permanent and temporary ethnologiccal exhibitions, this museums acts as a witness to the evolution of this region’s way of life. The museum houses and protects over 9,000 magnificent objects of Quebec’s material heritage. It is also their mission to showcase the work of local artists in their contemporary gallery, which sees up to six shows a year. Museum staff are courteous and friendly, and are happy to take groups on guided tours of the collection. Themed activities are offered for children during the city’s many cultural events, and adult workshops are planned throughout the year. The museum is especially active with heritage and artistic workshops during the Seigneuriales de Vaudreuil-Dorion.
