With its stunning views of the Ottawa River and the Lake of Two Mountains, Jack Layton Park is a charming spot within a stone's throw of downtown Hudson and the train station. The park's great natural beauty is enjoyed by all. Picnic tables are available for lunches with family and friends, and benches by the river offer restful vistas. This park is also well known to photographers, as it offers ideal opportunities to capture both sunrise and sunset. The park has a public boat launch, portable toilets, parking for permit holders, with permit-free parking a short walk from the park. Dogs on leash are allowed at the park. The park also has a woodland trail. Note that dogs are not permitted on the trail between 7 am and 7 pm. The park is the perfect spot to rest, relax and enjoy the views!

Parc Chartier-De Lotbinière 3

Along the edge of Rigaud Hill, Chartier-de- Lotbinière park is one of the nicest spots in the region for family gatherings, sports, relaxing and more. Stop by for a picnic before continuing your day. The park offers access to the L'escapade trails, a network of 20 km of both short and long trails through the forest of Mount Rigaud. Watch out for birds as you explore: there are over 150 species to spot, including migratory birds. Throughout winter, try snowshoeing, fatbiking, downhill skiing or skating on the 700 metre-long frozen track that circles the park. You can also play hockey at the outdoor rink! Equipment rental is available at the L'escapade chalet. In summer, play all your favourite sports like volleyball, tennis, or come cheer on the baseball teams. There's a skatepark and an outdoor training spot to help you exercise and get in shape. Activities are always running with many local partners, so stay updated! With ample parking, benches and public restrooms, the park has everything you need for a great experience that's both close to town and close to nature!
