With it's stunning views of the Ottawa River and the Lake of Two Mountains, Jack Layton Park is a charming spot within a stone's throw of downtown Hudson and the train station. Named for Hudson native Jack Layton, leader of the NDP for many years, the park honors his local and national legacies. The park's great natural beauty is enjoyed by all. Picnic tables are available for lunches with family and friends, and benches by the river offer restful vistas. This park is also well known to photographers, as it offers ideal opportunities to capture both sunrise and sunset. The park also has trails, a public boat launch, portable toilets, truck and trailer parking, and a dog waste bag dispenser. Dogs on leash are allowed on site. It's the perfect spot to rest, relax and enjoy the views!
