From August 6 to November 6, the artistic duo SYLLAD presents two simultaneous exhibitions highlighting the Canal de Soulanges.

Did you know the Canal de Soulanges was active for 60 years? Through twelve works placed in three open-air museum arches along the canal's path, SYLLAD explores the transformation of this industrial site into a natural landscape. These installations combine art, archival materials, and nature, offering a sensory and heritage-rich experience that bridges memory, ecology, and resilience.

The exhibition "The Trees Are Back at the Canal" is installed along the Canal de Soulanges until November 6 at the following locations:

  • L’Embouchure, near the pedestrian bridge

  • Coteau-du-Lac rest stop, at the intersection of Principale Street and Route 338

  • Pointe-des-Cascades rest stop, west of Centrale Street

Complementing the outdoor exhibition, SYLLAD invites you behind the scenes at the CACVS gallery. Discover the creative process behind the project, which brings together archival research, photographic images, and a selection of previously unseen works. The gallery is open during the Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC office hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to noon.
