There is no better place to discover the fruits and veggies of Québec’s growing season than at the Anse aux Sables farm in Île Perrot. Pick your own strawberries in summer, then come back for apples in the fall. Many favourite varieties grow in this 1000-tree orchard, including Gala, Cortland, Honeycrisp, and Empire. The farm is also a stellar producer of berries, squash, greens, melons, and peppers. And don’t forget that late summer favourite: delicious sweet corn! The Anse aux Sables farm will prove to visitors that hard work and a love for the land leads to great produce. A visit to the farm will also make it a breeze to get your 5-10 a day! Pick your own or visit the farm stand, where you will also find home-made specialties such as apple juice, strawberry jam, and fruit pies. Come with the family or bring a school or day-care group to experience the bounty of the Anse aux Sables farm.

Only 20 minutes from Montréal on lovely Île Perrot, the Quinn farm has been a family favourite for two generations. The perfect outing for families with young children, this family-run business lets visitors explore the inner workings of a real farm from barn to fields. Spring, summer, and fall the fields are full of fruits to harvest. Pick your own strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, corn, pumpkins, and apples. Tractor-rides and hay-bale mazes are a treat in the fresh open air. The barn is home to goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, and rabbits who love to meet new friends. On your way out, be sure to stop at the shop for some home-baked goodies and local products such as eggs, breads, cheeses, oils, soaps, crafts and more. The Quinn farm is happy to accommodate groups from schools, daycares, and seniors’ centres.
