Hudson Shiverfest

Mark your calendar for Shiverfest Hudson, returning on Saturday, February 21, 2026 — a day dedicated to family fun, winter play, and embracing the season together.

This year’s festivities will take place at St. Thomas Park and the Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre, with activities running throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

What’s happening:

Stephen F. Shaar Community Centre (394 Main Road)

• 3–4 p.m. Winter songs and games for kids with Donna Stewart — a playful, interactive activity perfect for younger festival-goers.

St. Thomas Park (78 Rue Blenkinship)

• 1 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Enjoy a lively winter playground featuring inflatable games, a mini-putt course, music, a fire pit, and the sale of hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn, and Timbits.


• 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Put your strength (and technique) to the test at the Christmas tree throwing contest, with prizes to be won.


• 3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Cheer on a friendly hockey game between Hudson residents and the Hudson Fire Department.


• 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Lace up for disco skating, featuring a very special illuminated guest to light up the rink and close out the day.

In between activities, take a moment to wander the village, warm up at local businesses, and enjoy the simple pleasures of winter with hot drinks, cozy spaces, crackling fires, and moments of connection before heading back out into the cold.

Whether you come for the skating, the games, the music, or just the atmosphere, Shiverfest is a chance to slow down, bundle up, and enjoy winter in Hudson.
