Keep things simple with this thoughtfully planned route that promises a full day of discoveries! Start your journey at Parc nature de Pointe-des-Cascades. After exploring the park, including its lookout and lighthouse, head to Parc des Ancres, an open-air museum like no other. Then, ride over to the charming café-bakery Deux grains au moulin for a well-deserved lunch break.

In the early afternoon, hop back on your bike and make your way to the Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site to explore traces of one of North America’s first lock canals and a British military blockhouse. Cool off with a refreshing sorbet or gelato crafted by the artisans at Crème et cie. On your way back, stop by the beautiful Le Bourg des Cèdres vineyard, and end your day on a high note with a lively evening at the Village des Écluses.

Looking to mix things up—or switch up your mode of transport? Plan your cycling route to include easy access to the water. Start your ride in the morning and finish in downtown Coteau-du-Lac, where you can rent a kayak or paddleboard and continue your adventure on the water. The Saint-Zotique beach is also a great spot to park your bike. In addition to swimming, you can rent kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, or pedal boats to explore Lake Saint-François.

Where to Grab a Bite

All that activity is sure to work up an appetite! Sit down for a well-earned break at La Frite à Brigitte to enjoy classic summer eats. Don’t feel like leaving the beach at the Village des Écluses? You are sure to find something you will like at their beach restaurant. And to wrap up the day, unwind with a 5 à 7 on the terrace at La Posta Café Bistro—a guaranteed favourite!
