1, Chemin du Fleuve - Pointe-des-Cascades, Québec J0P 1M0
At the far eastern end of Pointe-des-Cascades, nature lovers will be enchanted by a conservation area with features found nowhere else in the region. Paths lead you through woods, old quarries, swamps, and ponds that are full of unique wildlife at all times of year. A favourite spot for picnics, the park is also well-loved for its collection of old locks, jetties, and lighthouses overlooking the confluence of the Ottawa and St-Lawrence Rivers. Boaters can take advantage of two boat launches, while others can simply enjoy the picnic tables by the shore. The park is also easily accessible from the Soulanges Canal bike path, so take this chance to discover one of the region's best-kept secrets!
