The ArchaeoStroll moves onto the water for a guided kayak or SUP tour!
Let the guides of the Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site and the Parc du canal de Soulanges lead you on a tour rich in history and featuring the impressive landscapes of the canalization of the St. Lawrence River.
Length: 150 minutes (two and a half hours) for a 17 km route
Fees and reservations: the activity costs $18 per person (plus taxes) and reservations must be made by calling 450-763-5631 or booking on the on the Parc du canal de Soulanges's website.
Provided gear: Parc du canal de Soulanges lends kayaks or paddle boards and personal flotation devices (PFDs).
Languages: English and French
Target audience: reserved for people aged 16 and over, and recommended for history and archaeology enthusiasts. Not recommended for children aged 15 and under, or for people with disabilities.

Stretching on 23.5 km, the Canal de Soulanges is an old waterway that connects the municipalities of Pointe-des-Cascades, Les Cedres, Coteau-du-Lac and Les Coteaux. Inaugurated in 1899 and closed to navigation in 1959, the Canal de Soulanges is considered a major heritage in Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Take a ride of bicycle on the Soulanges bike path along the canal towards the municipalities of Saint-Zotique and Rivière-Beaudette. Discover the major points such as the Village des Écluses, the Parc des Ancres, the locks, the Petit Pouvoir and l'Embouchure on your way. The parking lots are at : Pointe-des-Cascades (67, ch. du Fleuve), Les Cèdres (Saint-Féréol near of the intersection of route 338), Coteau-du-Lac (20, rue Principale) and Les Coteaux (51, chemin du Fleuve).
